Freedom Drowning (Scylla et Charybdis)
Referencing the ancient Greek myth of Scylla and Carybdes as narrated in the Odyssey, this piece stems in reaction to the conspicous number of migrant deaths in the Mediterrenean that came to mediatic prominence during Summer 2015 but that has been affecting Italy, Lybia, Greece and the surrounding countries ever since the early nineties.
The piece was presented as part of PERFORMEANDO collective at the Month of Performance Art: Antology, in Berlin. May 2015.
Curated by: Hector Canonge.
